Reasons behind gaining overweight
We gain overweight unconsciously by some practices. But we can easily change these practices and lengthen the way of maintaining a balanced weight. So along with exercise and proper diet chart, we have to be aware of the mistakes that we often do which increase our weight.
If we eat watching TV then we eat too much
food unwittingly. And it happens because of our attention on TV. The stomach may become full but we still continue
to eat because there is food in front of us. This is called “Mindless calorie consumption.”
2. Eating on bigger plates
We usually take foods on our plates as long
as it gets full. So if the plate is big then half of the plate of foods is
enough for your health but we think that half plate of foods is not enough for
our appetite. So we have a tendency to eat full plate. That’s why we have to
practice eating in small plate rather than large plate. The diameter of the
plate should be 8.5 inch to 10 inch.
In recent time additional stress is
the reason of increasing abdominal weight. Stress creates “Cortisol” in our
body which is also called Stress hormone. If this coristol remains in
bloodstream in large number then it could be a reason of gaining overweight.
Because additional cortisol helps body to release insulin which will increase
appetite. So the more the cortisol exists the more will feel hunger and as a
result you will eat a lot. Hen you will stress then cortisol increases your
blood sugar. And this high blood sugar level will create additional glucose
which turns into fat in your body
Now a days in the home, office, market
there are elevators. So people have gained a tendency to use elevator even in 2nd
floor. This practice make is idle gradually. And this is a cause of gaining
overweight as well. So you should use the stairs to maintain a balanced weight.
We have to eat all kind of food moderately.
We have to eat moderate amount of protein alongside other foods. Because
protein helps to burn calories and enhance digestive process. I can eat sea
food and chicken as a source of protein.
In outside we have a tendency to drink
juice, soft drinks instead of water. You can hardly find anyone who drinks
water at fast foods or restaurants. These doest not fill our appetite so we
drink this kind of soft drinks a lot. But though these drinks are less in
quantity but they contain huge number of calories. So who drinks these kinds of
soft drinks or juice gains weight very rapidly.
Irregularity in sleep is a cause of
overweight. In a research it has been proved that those who sleeps 5 to 6 hours
gains more weight than who sleeps for 8 hours. This happens because of “Leptin”
and “Ghrelin” hormone. Sleeping less decreases leptin level and increases
ghrelin level. High ghrelin level increases our appetite. In other case low leptin
level make us feel hungry even after eating. So then you will want to eat
frequently and it will increase weight.
We often do not eat anything after
waking up from bed in the morning and go out for office or college. But we have
to keep in mind that if we do not take breakfast then it will enhance to
gaining weight. Breakfast make our metabolism vigor which is necessary to burn
the calories. Moreover, if we not take
breakfast we feel more hungry at lunch and we a lot.
One may have tendency to eat fast. They eat
an extra amount of food unconsciously. For example if a person takes 2/4 spoon
of rice then if he/she etas fast then there is a chance of taking 5/6 spoon of rice or he/she can take 4 breads
instead of 6 breads. So take 7/8 sec interval after eating 3 times. Try to
understand you appetite and how much food you need to fulfill your hunger.
We normally eat with a empty stomach. We can
maintain a balanced weight by drinking a glass of water before taking each
meal. Because water will take some space in your stomach that’s why you can’t
eat extra amount of food which is unnecessary. You can take herbal tea instead
of water. If you don’t like drinking only water, you can mix some slice of lemon.
